Dr May graduated in 2010 from the University of Newcastle and completed her postgraduate training at Prince of Wales Hospital.
She is accredited to do Mirena and Copper IUD insertion, and Implanon insertion/removal. May is also fully competent in procedural work including minor wound repairs, lesion and cyst excisions and has done further training in skin cancer diagnosis, including a Fellowship of Skin Cancer Medicine at the Integrated Specialist Healthcare Centre (ISHC) in Miranda.
She has a special interest in women’s and child health, family planning and travel medicine. She has completed additional training at the Sydney Children’s Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital and holds a Diploma in both Child Health (USyd) and Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG).
Dr May also has an interest in tropical medicine and completed a diploma in East Africa in 2014, through the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
