Dr. Nastasha Polites

General Practitioner

Dr Nastasha Polites is a dedicated and compassionate medical professional with a strong background in patient care.

She commenced her medical journey at the Adelaide Medical School and further honed her skills through extensive training at leading institutions, including Westmead Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Dr Polites has worked across a variety of settings, including regional centres in New South Wales, Tasmania, and the Northern Territory, where she developed a deep appreciation for providing comprehensive care to diverse communities. More recently, she has held roles at St Vincent’s Palliative Care, St Vincent’s Emergency, and Westmead Children’s Hospital, demonstrating her commitment to holistic healthcare.

Through her years of experience in Australia’s leading tertiary and regional hospitals, Dr Polites has seen first-hand the immense value of general practice. She believes the focus on prevention, early detection, and the management of acute and chronic conditions plays a vital role in keeping patients out of hospital or reducing their length of stay. Importantly, she recognises that this approach not only eases the suffering of individuals but also allows them to return to their families, communities, and everyday lives—whether as members of the workforce, carers, friends, or simply as people free to enjoy life. She looks forward to continuing this journey in community medicine, considering it one of the greatest honours to serve in this way.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr Polites is passionate about ocean photography, philosophy, design, urban culture, and art, reflecting her deep appreciation for the human spirit. She also cherishes time spent with family and in nature.
