After Hours

If you require urgent medical attention outside our operating hours, please contact our after-hours Doctor on 0434 857 619 to arrange a home visit, if clinically appropriate.

Please note the following fees apply for after-hours home visits:

• A $500 call-out fee applies for visits between 6:00pm and 10:00pm
• An $800 call-out fee applies for visits between 10:00pm and 8:00am

These fees reflect the significant commitment involved in providing medical care outside normal working hours, including the Doctor travelling to and from your home and, where applicable, being called out during the night. The suitability of a home visit will be determined by the consulting Doctor based on your clinical needs.

We appreciate your understanding that after-hours home visits are a premium service designed to provide access to medical care when other options may be unavailable.

In the event of an emergency our closest emergency department is St Vincent’s Hospital.

Although we will read and respond promptly to your emails, the email address is not monitored 24/7. We advise that a reply can be expected within 72 hours.

Therefore, you should not use email to communicate with Bourke Street Clinic, if there is an emergency or where you require an answer in a shorter period of time.
