About Dr Albena Kausae
Originally, from Bulgaria, Dr Albena Kausae has been working in Australia since 1994 and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) since 2000. Dr Kausae has broad experience in various aspects of General Practice such as paediatrics and aged care medicine, however she has a special interest in Women’s Health, Dermatology and minor surgical procedures. She is also accredited to insert and remove implanon and IUD (intrauterine) devices.
Dr Kausae provides antenatal shared care at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Women and Babies (RPA), Canterbury Hospital and The Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick. She’s been an examiner for new GPs with the RACGP since 2008 and practices GP-level emergency medicine at Balmain Hospital in the General Practice Casualty. Dr Kausae has been an author of multiple peer-reviewed medical journal papers on stress and gastroenterology.
